We always lag behind or get confused on what learning schedule might suit our kids. It is the aspiration of every parent to see his or her child grow up and become successful in life. However, you cannot expect every child to follow the same study time table regime. A certain study time table regime may be apt for a particular kid, but that will not work for the other. One thing you need to keep in mind is that you should never expect your kids to sit down and start studying as soon as they come from school. The pressure at school and the loads of homework they get would have drained the energy and activeness from their life. Therefore, at this time, you need to give them some break. Give them a time schedule where they indulge in other activities like playing outdoors with their friends, watching TV, surfing the web or listening music, etc before they start doing their homework. These activities will recharge them and relieve their school stress.

Now cultivating good learning habits does not pertain to academics and doing homework. There is a great misconception among various parents that learning habits are always related to studies. Learning habits can also mean learning good behaviors, skills and understanding more about life.

To do this, parents need to take an extra effort. During the dinnertime or when you kid has finished his or her homework, try to instigate them in a conversation. You could talk about the various things happened in the school, funny incidents, etc. The reason why you need to have a conversation with your kid is to create an environment where your kid can discuss about anything openly and share it with you.
